Background
We were approached by a landlord to perform EPC’s to make sure properties reached E rating in order to be complaint with MEES regulations which come in force April 2019. The flats required upgrades to the Room In Roof Insulation and new Electric Storage Heaters.
Challenges
We had to source multiple streams of funding in order for the energy saving measures to be installed, this included approaching the local authority to obtain additional funding.
Results
We successfully installed Room In Roof Insulation to the 14 top floor flats and 20 new electric storage heaters. The EPC rating E+ was obtained and the landlord could continue to rent his properties out. The project was fully funded and at no cost to the landlord.
