LPG boiler solutions

Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) boilers work in a very similar way to natural gas boilers. The main difference is that the LPG fuel is stored in a tank on your property rather than being supplied through the mains. Here’s an overview of how an LPG boiler works:

  • The LPG is pumped from the tank to the boiler
  • It’s then burned in the boiler’s combustion chamber
  • The heat from the combustion process is used to heat water
  • This heats your radiators and provides hot water for your taps

LPG boilers can range from £610 to £1,570 inc. VAT plus installation, so speak to our expert team to learn more about how much an LPG boiler installation could cost you.

Benefits of adding an LPG boiler to your home

Why would you want to install an LPG boiler on your property? There are many reasons, both financial and environmental, but these are the most striking benefits:

  • Cleaner – LPG boilers produce less carbon emissions than other types of boilers
  • Efficiency – They’re more efficient than oil boilers, so you can save money on your energy bills
  • Affordability – The initial cost of installing an LPG boiler is lower than other alternatives
  • Versatility – LPG boilers are available in a variety of sizes and models to fit your heating needs
  • Reliability – They’re a reliable source of heat, even during power outages

Why take our advice?

We’ve already helped thousands of homes, businesses, and local authorities across the UK upgrade their boiler systems, whether that’s LPG, oil, gas, electric, or hydrogen. We’re with you every step of the way – from advising to installation and aftercare too – and our glowing reviews on Trustpilot prove that Grant Store is the name that people trust with innovative energy solutions.

How it works

We’ve been installing LPG boilers nationwide for years, so we’ve got a tried and tested method of inquiry and installation to make the process as hassle-free and straightforward for you as possible. If you have any questions about the process, then we’re only a phone call away.

Tell us about your property

This is just to establish a few basic facts, like its location, size, and heating requirements. Despite no grants being available under the ECO4 scheme for an LPG boiler, you might be eligible to claim an LPG grant under the LA Flex or Affordable Warmth Scheme instead.

Apply and Survey

We’ll perform a comprehensive survey of your property to see which model of LPG boiler would be the most efficient one to heat it. We can also help you apply for any grants related to LPG boilers.

Our professional installers are fully regulated and accredited, so you know you’ll be getting first-class service every step of the way on your new boiler journey.

You must have a few questions. We’ve answered some of the most commonly-asked questions about LPG boilers here, but please speak to the team if you have any more.

Are LPG boilers expensive to run?

The average cost of running an LPG boiler is about £800 per year, but the exact cost of running it will depend on a number of factors, including the size of your home, the efficiency of your boiler, and the current price of LPG. If you have any questions about how much it could potentially cost you to run an LPG boiler on your property, then give us a call on 01942 918 844 and we’ll be glad to give you a no-obligation quote.

Are LPG boilers being phased out?

There are no current plans to ban the sale or installation of LPG boilers in the UK. However, as the government is looking to reduce the use of fossil fuels, there’s a possibility that they could be phased out in the future, but there is no clear timeline for this at present.

What is an LPG boiler?

LPG boilers work by burning liquid petroleum gas (LPG) to heat water. The hot water is then circulated around your home to heat your radiators and provide hot water for your taps. They’re relatively inexpensive to install and easy to run, and they produce fewer carbon emissions than some other types of boilers, making them a more environmentally friendly option. If you have any queries about LPG boilers, we’re only too happy to answer them.

Are there any LPG boiler replacement grants?

While there aren’t any dedicated national LPG grant schemes to help with the cost of the purchase and installation of a new system, you might be eligible under the regional LA Flex scheme. However, ECO4 grants of up to £5,000 in England and Wales and up to £9,000 for different areas of Scotland are available to install a more environmentally friendly option like an air source heat pump.

If you have any questions about the pros and cons of installing an LPG boiler versus a more technologically advanced option like an air source heat pump, speak to our expert team, who’ll be glad to help.
