Heating Grants

Heating grants are available to households in receipt of qualifying benefits such as tax credits or pension guarantee credit. The full list of benefits can be found here. Broken boiler replacement grants are currently only available to owner occupied households, however, first-time central heating grants are available to all tenure types with no previous central heating system present.

Gas boiler grants

To be eligible to receive a heating grant to cover some/all of the cost of replacing your broken boiler, you or someone living in the property must be the homeowner and be in receipt of one of the qualifying benefits. Once we have confirmed that you are eligible to receive the grant, one of our Gas Safe registered surveyors will come to the property to carry out a free no obligation survey to enable us to work out how much you will need to pay for your new boiler.

Based on current prices, the average cost of having your boiler replaced privately is approximately £1,800, however, taking advantage of a heating grant can save you a considerable amount of money.

Grant Store are both Worcester Bosch & Vaillant approved installers, and all boilers are installed by fully qualified Gas Safe registered engineers.

Once your new boiler has been fitted, you can sit back and enjoy your new warm home with the benefit of lower energy bills as a result of your A-rated efficiency boiler. All of our boilers come with a 2 year manufacturer’s warranty for extra peace of mind.

Electric storage heaters

To be eligible to receive a heating grant to cover some/all of the cost of fitting new electric storage heaters or replacing your current electric storage heaters for new ones, you or someone living in the property must be the homeowner and be in receipt of one of the qualifying benefits. Once we have confirmed that you are eligible to receive the grant, one of our qualified surveyors will come to the property to carry out a free no obligation survey to enable us to work out how much you will need to pay for your new heaters. We will complete a bespoke survey to calculate your heating requirements to help save money on your energy bills.

Based on current prices, the average cost of having new electric storage heaters fitted privately is approximately £4,000, however, taking advantage of a heating grant can save you a considerable amount of money.

First time central heating
