Addressing the challenges

Designing the system required precise planning to address several technical and structural constraints.

  • A flue and chimney stack limited the roof’s available panel space.
    Our design team modelled multiple layout options and orientations to avoid obstructions and optimise the roof’s exposure to daylight.
  • Nearby trees and structures cast intermittent shade throughout the day.
    We used digital shading analysis to identify and mitigate any loss in performance, maximising output throughout the day and across seasons.
