Background

Neighbours Chris and Caroline each chose to have solar PV systems installed with us – one privately and one through the Solar Together scheme. Both homes were fitted with eight solar panels and a battery storage system, so they could generate and store their own clean energy.

Addressing the challenges

This project required careful planning to manage the unique features of both properties and maximise efficiency from each system.

  • Site preparation included accounting for a conservatory. This included a custom scaffolding setup to give our installers safe access and protect the structure during the work.
  • Both properties had roof flues which could have casted shadows across the panels. Our design team modelled the layout to prevent shading and optimise sun exposure throughout the year.

Results

We delivered two custom solar PV systems designed around each home’s unique structure and needs. The installations were completed quickly, safely, and to a high standard, with minimal disruption.

Together, these systems now generate clean solar energy every day, cutting Chris and Caroline’s respective energy bills and helping them live a more sustainable life.
